Experience

Shareen’s experience spans across key sectors in corporate, private sector, consulting, government and non-profits.

Shareen is an independent board committee member of the Sustainability and Development committee at Bursa Malaysia. She also sits on the boards of private companies. She is a Board of Trustees of Yayasan UEM and held international Board positions in her leadership role in on non-profit governance.

She has held leadership roles including as Director of Corporate Responsibility/Sustainability at Khazanah Nasional Berhad and Chief Executive Officer of Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad, a government agency under the Prime Minister’s Office.

In sustainability and ESG her expertise spans strategy and execution, decarbonisation, SRI investing, sustainability reporting, sustainability valuation and capacity development.

Shareen holds a Master of Studies in Sustainability Leadership from the University of Cambridge and a Master of Public Policy from the University of Malaya. She is an Adjunct Professor at UNITAR International University. She sits on the International Panel of Advisory for online content at Cambridge Institute of Sustainability Leadership. She is also an Advisor to the ESG Association of Malaysia (ESGAM).

Experience

Datuk Nor Yahati began her career by serving as an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer (PTD) since 1995 and has extensive experience in public service in several ministries, departments and government agencies.

Before serving at the Public Sector Transformation Division, Public Service Department, Datuk Nor Yahati held responsibilities at the Ministry of Tourism and Culture as Deputy Secretary General (Tourism).

Previously she had served in the Public Service Department, Ministry of Finance and National Treasury.

In 2020, she was given the responsibility to held the position of Director General of Broadcasting at the Malaysian Broadcasting Program (RTM).

In 2023, she was given the responsibility to held the position of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Integrity Institute of Malaysia (IIM). Before appointed as CEO of IIM, she held the position of Chief Administrator of Parliament.

While at IIM, she also implemented various initiatives related to integrity in various sectors in society. Among the main initiatives of IIM is the Integrity, Governance and Anticorruption Award (AIGA) involving the participation of the private sector and the public sector.

On 11 Mac 2024, Datuk Nor Yahati has been appointed as the new Deputy Chief Secretary (Environmental Sustainability) under the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability of Malaysia.

Throughout her career development she has received several awards such as Panglima Mahkota Wilayah in 2022 and Anugerah Perkhidmatan Cemerlang in both 2010 and 2005.

Experience

Dato’ Mohamad Razif bin Hj. Abd Mubin embarked on his career as a civil servant in 1995 within the Ministry of Land and Cooperative Development. In 2000, he served the role of Chief Assistant Secretary in the Ministry of Energy, Green Technology and Water Malaysia (KeTTHA). He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from the Universiti Islam Antarabangsa (UIA) earned in 1994. He also obtained a Diploma in Public Administration from INTAN in 1996 and completed a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the Multimedia University (MMU) in 2003. In 2004, he was posted to the Foreign Ministry and stationed at the Malaysian Embassy in New York. He returned to Malaysia in 2008 to assume the position of Assistant Director of the Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU). He serves as the Deputy Secretary General (Energy) at the Ministry of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change in Malaysia.

Experience

Throughout his two-decade tenure in the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), En. Muhammad has been heavily involved in the development of policies, initiatives and processing of tax incentives for the various industries and sectors under the purview of MITI. This includes the iron, steel, automotive, textiles and apparels industries, as well as the Services and Logistics sectors, and the Health and Tourism sub sectors, through his roles in the Sectoral Policy Division, Industry Services Division and the Services Sector Development Division of MITI.

He has progressed from the position of Assistant Director to Principal Assistant Director and subsequently Senior Principal Assistant Director between 2001 to 2013, before being appointed the Economic Counsellor of MITI for Jakarta, where he provided advisory, facilitated business and monitored trade and industry policies. In 2016, En. Muhammad was promoted to the position of Director for the Export and Import Control Section at MITI, where he administered and managed the issuance of export and import licenses under the ministry, before helming his current position as Director of MITI’s Industrial Development Division.

His responsibilities in this latest role are centred on the development and implementation of policies for the automotive, electrical and electronic, machinery and equipment, and the shipbuilding and ship repair industries, as part of the Industry4WRD National Policy on Industry 4.0. He is also MITI’s representative on the Board of MGTC.

Experience

Pn. Hasifah’s career in the public sector began in 2003, when she was appointed an Administrative and Diplomatic Officer and placed as an Assistant Director in the Maritime Security Policy Unit, National Security Division in the Prime Minister’s Department upon graduation. She later transferred to other divisions within the Prime Minister’s Department, such as the Directorate of Organizational Management (Services) in the National Security Division and FELDA Regulatory Unit, where she gathered valuable administrative experience.

Following a successful stint at the Department of Islamic Development Malaysia as the Chief Assistant Director, Pn. Hasifah was awarded the Federal Training Prize Full Paid Study Leave (CBBPHLP) to pursue the Master of Business Management course at UPM.

Upon completion of her higher studies, she entered the service of the Ministry of Finance (MOF), where she held the position of Chief Assistant Secretary within the Remuneration Policy, Public Money and Management Services Division, before progressing to MOF’s Public Asset Management Division. She was later appointed Chief Assistant Director of Budget at the National Budget Office of MOF, and was seconded by the MOF to serve as a Director of MGTC.

Experience

Datuk Hiswani has served the Malaysian Government for 33 years in various Ministries and agencies. This includes the Ministry of Science, Technology and the Environment as Director of Conservation and Environmental Management Division; the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN) as Senior Project Coordinator for the Urban and Environmental Management Centre; and the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) as the Deputy Secretary-General (Trade).

During her tenure at MITI, she was posted to Geneva, Switzerland, to serve as the Minister Councillor, before being promoted as Malaysia’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the World Trade Organisation (WTO). She was also involved with policy planning and implementation fuctions for various industrial sector such as automotive, electrical and electronics, iron and steel, and machinery and equipment.

Her international trade diplomacy and negotiation experience includes roles as Malaysia’s Chief Negotiator to the ASEAN Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP), one of the biggest trade pact comprising ASEAN and her six Dialogue Partners, and representing Malaysia in a number of Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), Economic Partnerships negotiations and various international and regional conferences under the auspices of the United Nations, ASEAN and APEC in the areas of sustainable development, economy, and trade. She was also appointed by WTO members to chair the WTO Committee on Trade and Environment.

Experience

Dato’ Leong has extensive knowledge and experience in green finance solutions, biomass commercialization and venture capital. Through his company, Primer Capital Sdn Bhd, he has been appointed by the Sustainable Energy Development Authority (SEDA) to helm two national-level consultancy studies on up-scaling financing and developing viable business cases for Low Carbon Public Transportation (Bio-CNG and electric bus) and developing green technology business plans for Local Authorities and Green SMEs. He has previously served as Technical Advisor to the European Union – Malaysia Biomass Sustainable Production Initiative (Biomass-SP).

He aspires and is devoted to contribute significantly towards realising the National Climate Change Agenda and the Green Growth Agenda in the 5-year Malaysia Plan. Over the last 10 years, he has been invited to speak at more than 100 conferences locally and internationally, and is well connected with stakeholders along the various supply chains of the biomass industries. He has also contributed to various authorships in the field of biomass and green finance.

Backed by 33 years of working experience primarily with PETRONAS, and with the Public Services Commission of Malaysia (SPA), En Ismail has accumulated a wide range of skills and knowledge in the areas of programming analysis, business support, Management Information System (MIS), Information Communication Technologies (ICT), stakeholder management, and employee relations. He was instrumental in the study of the socioeconomic impact and livelihood management of the villages displaced by the development of the PETRONAS Refinery and Petrochemical complex in Pengerang.

He is currently an Advisor at MIE Industrial Sdn Bhd, an Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) company, where he was involved in business development for plant maintenance, renewable energy such as solar, biomass, mini hydro, and the businesses of hotels and resorts. At MIE, he was also involved in the setting up of a new subsidiary, MIE Agro Sdn Bhd, which focused on agriculture, farming and plantations.

Ir. Amin Ramli is an engineering professional with over 20 years of experience in civil engineering, infrastructure development, and sustainability. As the Managing Director of an engineering consultancy firm, he has led the delivery of numerous large-scale projects in Malaysia and internationally, focusing on integrating sustainable practices and renewable energy solutions.

Ir. Amin began his career in the United States, where he gained valuable experience in advanced engineering practices. He is a licensed Professional Engineer with a Practicing Certificate (PEPC)in Malaysia as well as in the US and Australia. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI), New York, and has recently completed a Master’s in Sustainable Development Management from Sunway University, Malaysia. His credentials also include certification as an Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP) and Certified Sustainability (ESG) Practitioner, underscoring his commitment to sustainable engineering practices.

Throughout his career, Ir. Amin has significantly contributed to national policy and strategic infrastructure studies. He has been part of developing critical blueprints for cities, states, economic corridors and national level. His work focuses on shaping Malaysia’s urban and regional development with sustainability at the forefront.

A passionate advocate for climate adaptation, Ir. Amin has spoken at numerous forums and training sessions on floods, erosion, and sediment control, sharing his expertise and promoting innovative solutions to these pressing environmental challenges. As a member of the Climate Change Consultancy Panel for the Ministry of Natural Resource, Energy and Climate Change (NRECC), he participates in the national climate change agenda, proposing and advising the ministry on initiatives that align with national aspirations.

Ir. Amin brings a wealth of knowledge in green technology, renewable energy, and climate change, alongside his extensive experience in national policy and strategic planning. His vision is to drive Malaysia towards a sustainable future, leveraging his deep expertise and passion for environmental stewardship.
