MGTC has been accredited by the ASEAN Center for Energy (ACE) as the official project implementer of AEMAS for Malaysia since 1st February 2014. Therefore, the cooperation of MGTC and ACE through the support of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources (KeTSA) to continue the AEMAS program in Malaysia is of great benefit to Malaysia and also regional countries. This has been realized through the Cooperation Agreement, which was renewed until 30 June 2025.

The AEMAS National Council (ANC) Meeting is the platform for MGTC for; 1) External evaluation of the national activities, 2) Ensure official government support for AEMAS and further increases its credibility and visibility in the country and, 3) Ensure coordination between AEMAS and government policies and initiatives in the field of EE&C. This year the ANC meeting is now being held in Manhattan Hotel, Jakarta, Indonesia attended by both Executive Director of ACE and MGTC CEO, Ts. Shamsul Bahar with support from KeTSA Senior Under Secretary, Sustainable Energy, Encik Asdirhyme Bin Abdul Rasib.

The meeting will be followed by an MOA Exchange ceremony between MGTC & ACE. The ceremony will be witnessed by representatives from the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources Indonesia, Indonesian Professional Certification Agency Association, Indonesian Conservation, and Energy Efficient Society, Energy Efficiency Practitioners Association of Philippines and one representative from the Malaysia Embassy office in Jakarta.
