Selangor, 2 Mac 2020: Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre (MGCC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Malaya Green Builder Energy Sdn. Bhd. (MGBE) and KC Express Co. LTD (KC Express), a Taiwan based company in green technologies solutions. The MoU aims to accelerate the Low Carbon Mobily initiatives and set as replication tools for other in various industries to follow suit as a climate action.
The cooperation between the three parties will leverage on MGCC and its group of companies roles as mandated by the Malaysian Government through Ministry of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change (MESTECC) which among other is to promote Low Carbon Mobility and Low Carbon City Framework with relevant parties and programmes in the use of green transport to achieve reduction in carbon emission.
MGBE is a local representative for KC Express in term of financial solution to the potential buyers as the latter in supporting Taiwan’s South Bound policy in creating its presence in Malaysia and to collaborate with the relevant parties including MGCC and MGBE, in providing total solution such as Electrical Bus in supporting Malaysia to reduce carbon emission by its transport sector.
“The MOU signalled our commitment in climate actions as well as accelerating foreign direct investment of green technology in Malaysia. Up to 100 buses of electrical will be handed in phases by MGBE and KC Express as part of MGCC initiatives under Low Carbon Mobility”, said Shamsul Bahar Mohd Nor, Chief of Executive Officer of MGCC.
