Energy Management Gold Standard (EMGS) Award Ceremony 2019 was held on the 10th of October 2019 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Center, to recognise organisations that have successfully implemented the Sustainable Energy Management System (SEMS). EMGS has produced positive impacts for the environment and economy, contributing 34.6 million ringgit annual cost savings, while mitigating 54.7 kilotonnes of CO2e emissions every year as of October 2019.
The ceremony was graced by the Deputy Minister of Energy, Science, Technology, Environment and Climate Change, YB Puan Isnaraissah Munirah Majilis, as well as Dr. Nagulendran Kangayatkarasu the Deputy Secretary-General (Environment and Climate Change) of MESTECC, Mr. Abdul Razib Dawood the Chief Executive Officer for Energy Commission and Dato’ Ir. Dr. Abu Bakar Jaafar, Chairman of GreenTech Malaysia.
