DEFINITIONS AND CONCEPTS 2.1. DEFINITIONS Boundary: A defined border that accounts for and limits the key business activities and processes which form the basis of the study or analysis. Baseline year: A reference point in time against which a measure of consumption and/or production in the present and/or future are measured. Reporting period: The period for which the instrument assesses the organisation. Unless required, otherwise period should be one year.
