Malaysia Pavillion Expo Dubai to provide access for local firms

The Malaysia Pavilion for Expo 2020 Dubai aims to provide companies the opportunity for access to global markets by joining its weekly business programmes planned for the global event.

Malaysia Pavilion will host 26 weekly thematic business programmes during the world expo from Oct 1, 2021 until March 31, 2022 where the companies can participate in showcases, business matching sessions, forums and talks for free.

IGEM, South East Asia’s largest trade event for green technologies and eco solutions, is a platform for solution providers and green energy businesses to tap into the ASEAN market by showcasing the latest innovations to policy makers, government organisations, investors and the mass markets.

Malaysia’s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai is led by the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation with Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Centre (MGTC), the co-organiser of IGEM 2020, as implementing agency.

MGTC CEO  Shamsul Bahar Mohd Nor said IGEM 2020 is a good platform for Malaysia to promote the nation’s participation at Expo 2020 Dubai as this annual signature event of MGTC will have over 100 exhibitor booths from 22 countries and a targeted 10,000 visitors.

“We are reaching out to companies looking to expand their business and to export, to be part of our business delegation at Expo 2020. They include green products and
services companies who can join the four weekly programmes with MGTC as lead agency, namely, Sustainable Construction & Infrastructure Week; Eco Products and  Services; Climate Resilient, Smart & Low Carbon Cities Week; and Circular Economy Week,” he added.

Malaysia Pavilion’s 26 weekly programmes will be helmed by 22 ministries, five state governments and 39 agencies with facilitation by MATRADE and MIDA.
